Login and account issues

I signed up but never got my validation.

The usual reason that the confirmation number doesn't make it out is because the email address that was entered during signup wasn't entered properly. If you're sure this is not the case, you can resend your reminder mail, but there's a good chance it might be ending up in your junk mail or spam folder (check in there first!)

I forgot my password.

No problem... just email yourself a password reset request (link can also be found on the login form)

My username isn't working.

Make sure you're typing it in exactly as you signed up - it's case sensitive, so if you're using your shift key, or if caps lock is on, you could be entering the wrong username.

How do I delete my account?

Accounts can be closed by logging in and submitting a Account Removal Request.

How it works

How does this site work?

This site works on a free trade system - you upload your images and videos, and in exchange you get credits which allow you to view other people's images and videos.

What are credits?

Credits are points which can be used to view images and videos. Every time you view an image, you use 2 credits. You get one credit back when you vote on an image, so you use one credit to unlock an image (images which have been voted on, or added to your favorites don't use credits to view again).

How do I get credits?

Credits are awarded for images and videos that you upload which are posted on the site. To ensure site quality, images that are too small, poor quality, or don't fit with the site's rules and feel will likely be rejected, but if you upload good quality images you'll do just fine. Just watch the post login page when you log in - that's where you'll see messages about where your images were posted, and any reasons why they might have been rejected.

What can I upload?

Of course, the stuff you send should be topical to the site and of decent quality, feature only people 18 and over, not be obscene or illegal (absolutely no kids/blood/animals/etc - anyone uploading these types of images will be reported immediately). The main rule is that you can upload only your own images and videos which you hold the copyright to - anyone caught uploading other people's stuff will have their uploads and credits removed, and potentially be banned from the site. And come on - don't bother stealing other people's stuff... They're on this site, or their friends are, or the photographer is, and your image will get reported and you'll waste all of our time. Instead, just play by the rules, and get tons of credits for uploading your own stuff, and enjoying all the others who are doing the same for a long time to come...

I uploaded an image but didn't get credits, why not?

After you've sent in images, keep an eye on the post login page when you log in... You'll see messages there about the status of your images - whether they're still pending, or if they've been posted, or why they were rejected. Images may be rejected for a number of reasons (copyright, poor quality, too small, doesn't fit the site, faceless or indistinguishable shot, too similar to previous uploads, etc) and will vary depending on the other images you've uploaded alongside or in the past, so watch the post login page to know what to avoid and to help your uploads get accepted next time.

I don't want to share my photos - how else can I get credits?

The easiest way to get some credits is to complete the challenges on the rewards page - that's an easy way to earn credits just by using the site.

Another way to earn credits is to promote the site using any of your custom promotion links listed on the promotion page. Essentially, if you send your link to someone and they sign up for the site, you receive credits. You'll also receive additional credits when their first photo is posted on the site. You can send friends to a number of pages including your favorites gallery, or your profile page, which is great because when someone asks to see your photos and you send them to your profile page to check you out, you can earn credits at the same time! Just post your link to your friends, on your blog, on twitter... Wherever you can think to post it, and then just sit back and watch the credits roll in.

(Please note: We do not tolerate spamming, and we do monitor referrals for their legitimacy... sending to your friends who'd be interested is cool, but spamming everyone under the sun is not.)

I uploaded an image 5 minutes ago and still don't have credits! Why not!?

Patience, grasshopper... unfortunately we do like to step away from the computer from time to time and can't sort images instaneously. Next time we sit down in front of a computer though, we usually attend to sorting, and you'll get the credits as soon as your images are sorted.

How can I browse your site without credits?

There's been a lot of people asking this, so we've added an option to allow you to upgrade your membership to unlimited credits. As an added bonus, members with upgraded accounts get full unlimited access to videos, advanced searching, the hands-free viewer and other bonus features. Why isn't the site full free open access for everyone?

We run this site as a hobby, and we build and add features when we can, but unfortunately, there are some massive costs associated with running a site like this: the storage space for hosting all the images, paying for our servers, and the real killer is the bandwidth costs for sending all the images and videos across the internet tubes.

To keep the site worth visiting, we have opted not to float distracting/tacky advertisements in our galleries to offset monthly costs. We simply ask that if you enjoy the site and want to keep seeing more of what we have to offer that you consider contributing to the site by upgrading your account.

Why can I not see videos?

Due to the high bandwidth requirement, videos are only available for users who have shared their own videos or who have upgraded accounts. If you would like to upgrade your account for unlimited access to all the videos, just click here)

What are followers?

If you find a user profile that you like, you can click the FOLLOW button to be notified whenever this user adds new images to their profile. The same works if you find a user who's favorite images you really like - just FOLLOW their favorites, and you'll see whenever they add a new image to their favorites. If you're curious who likes your profile or images, you can view your followers on your profile page, or from the main menu notification.

Why do some thumbnails have a face icon?

These are images or videos that a user has added to their profile. When you open the thumbnail you'll see a button that allows you to view their profile so you can see their other photos, check out any information they've chosen to share, or send them a message.

Site issues

How do I get an image removed from the site?

If you would like an image or video removed from the site, we're happy to oblige. The easiest way is to click on the "Flag" button (the button with the icon of a flag on it) when viewing the image or video, and then choose "Remove Image" from the list of reasons presented. If you'd like a number of images removed, the easiest way to ensure we get a complete list and that all of your content can be removed quickly is to use the "Add Favorites" button when viewing content, and then to send us a message letting us know that you've added things to your favorites that you'd like removed.

If you are unable to view the image or are out of credits, you can right click on the thumbnail to get a URL that we can translate into an image identifier to delete for you. Just right click and select "Copy Image URL" (or similar, depending on your browser), and send it over to us so we know what to remove for you.

Reports of this nature are taken very seriously, and will be responded to the next time we log in.

My image is on your site! Tell me who uploaded it!

Sorry, but we can't... just like you expect your identiy to be kept secret on this site, we've got to respect the privacy of the person who uploaded an image... Of course, we're more than happy to remove your image (and we'll deal with the user accordingly), but we cannot give you their information... Sorry.

I am an artist/photographer - how can I block my work from appearing on your site?

We have built a tool that will thumbnail your content and prevent any duplicates from being uploaded (with a few technical limitations of course). Please contact us and we can provide more information on how to access the tool and submit your works to be blocked.

I saw something on the site that shouldn't be there!

Please use the Report button when viewing something that might be in an incorrect section or violate our terms of service. We appreciate the extra help and tend to give credits for the assistance :)

I want to use the site, but I don't want a profile!

Profiles are completely optional - if you want to share your images and information with other users you may, but if you'd like to stay private, you can hide your profile on the Account Settings page by clicking HIDDEN under profile settings.

Nothing is working... what's wrong?

In order to present the best experience and features, this site uses some technologies found only in modern browsers - you will definitely need to have JavaScript turned on and allow the site to store session cookies for things to work as they should. The site should work on most up to date browsers, and is primarily developed and tested using Firefox and Google Chrome - almost any problem you might be experiencing that's related to the site can be fixed by installing the newest version of either of these browsers.

In the end though, bugs happen, and sometimes we've missed something along the way... If you're running a modern browser and still experiencing problems with the site, please contact us and we'll do what we can to test and fix any bugs we might have missed.

Profiles

When I go to edit my profile the location is incorrect?

The site attempts to guess your location the first time you go to edit your profile, but it's not a perfect science. You can set your location easily though, by typing your city into the location field, and then dragging the marker on the map to any location you'd like.

Payment issue

How do I cancel an upgraded membership subscription

You are free to cancel an upgraded subscription at any time, and can do so through the billing provider you purchased the subscription. The easiest way to do this is by simply clicking the cancel link in the receipt you were emailed when you completed your purchase.

If you no longer have the payment receipt email, you can cancel through the billing provider's website which will be one of the following: CCbill or Verotel.

If you cannot locate your account or are having problems cancelling, you can contact us for further assistance.

My purchased upgrade is not working

The usual cause of this problem occurs when a user has multiple accounts on the site, and has logged in using an account that is different from the one they upgraded.

If this is not the case, please contact us immediately so we can look into this for you.
